LivingADK Creates Legacy Giving Plan

LivingADK takes great pride in unveiling the LivingADK Legacy; a program of profound future significance. Embracing both residents and seasonal sojourners, this program stands as a pivotal component in supporting a dynamic year-round economic ecosystem for our local area. Through the gracious act of bestowing Legacy contributions, the health of our region can be supported, surpassing our individual lifetimes.

Whether you have recognized it or not you likely have experienced the local impact of LivingADK. When you shop at the Old Forge Farmers Market, visit the Conklin Family Dog Park, walk or bike ride along the TOBIE Trail, attend the annual CAP-PY Duck Derby, enjoy Inlet’s Arrowhead Park and reconstructed historic dockage in front of the Woods Inn or simply walk by one of the local murals, you are seeing some of the more visible LivingADK contributions to our region.

Behind the scenes, LivingADK is working tirelessly to continue to be the leading organization to support everything needed to Live, Work, and Play in the West Central Adirondacks. Over the last 22 years, we’ve assisted in bringing over $13 million in grants to the region. We have been able to assist in sustaining the local economy, improve access to healthcare and social services, support housing solutions, aid environmental causes, and enhance broadband and telecommunication access. LivingADK is uniquely positioned to flexibly respond to community needs as they arise. For example, we raised over $360,000 for individuals, families and our essential small businesses with our COVID Relief and Business Grant Funds.

With your foresight and planning, a LivingADK Legacy offering will play an integral role in continuing to provide support for the region, underwriting its enduring prosperity in your honor. Contributions can come in many forms such as donations, the establishment of trusts, or even the inclusion of real estate holdings, stock distributions and more. Additional Legacy planning details are explained on our website, LivingADK.org, within the Donate/Leave Your Legacy sections. For personalized guidance from our partners, such as The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, or further questions, we invite you to directly contact our Executive Director, Robin Hill, reachable via rhill@LivingADK.org or at 315-369-3353. We are happy to assist you in crafting your legacy, ensuring that forthcoming generations of friends and family can relish our region, just as you have.
