This year is the 15th season of the Old Forge Farmers Market and our second year at the new location on North Street.  You will find us in the parking lot of the George Hiltebrant Recreation Center, 201 North Street, Old Forge every Friday from 1pm - 5pm, rain or shine.  We would like to extend sincere thanks to the Town of Webb Board for their continued support.

As in the past, vendors will be offering fresh, local or regionally grown produce, baked goods, and there will be several artisan and craft offerings as well. LivingADK will again have our "From Farm to Forge" cookbook available for sale at $15 each and CAP-PY Duck Derby Tickets will be available at the cost of $5 each or a flock of 5 for $20.  Don't miss your chance to win one of our 19 amazing prizes!

At the beginning of each market season, LivingADK distributes a number of market nutrition coupons to St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Niccolls Presbyterian Church, Inlet Community Church, and the local SHARP senior activities program.  These organizations distribute the free coupons through their food pantry services and associated programs.  Funding of this program comes directly from annual vendor booth rental revenue.  To date we have distributed over $24,000 direct to residents through this coupon program and donations direct to local food pantries.

This year we are doubling the value of the weekly coupon from $6.00 to $12.00 as a result of receiving a $1,250 Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Health and Wellness Award.  LivingADK realized that as a result of the increase in overall food prices and fuel costs, we wanted to find a collaborative partner willing to help fund this program making it more impactful to the participants.  We appreciate the support of Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.

A number of our vendors also participate in the following assistance programs: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), FreshConnect coupons, and WIC FMNP & SFMNP allowing their wholesome products to find tables in the entire community.

Sue Huber is entering her 6th season as Market Manager and her husband Phil is entering his 5th season.  Sue and Phil's energy, excitement, and knowledge, along with the ongoing support of LivingADK, have allowed the market to become a regional Adirondack attraction, social engagement event, and the Friday Old Forge place to see and be seen.  You will be able to identify Sue and Phil wearing their burgundy Old Forge Farmers Market Manager t-shirts.
